uh huh. I was bored in college XO lol This is Faye's first day at her school 'Adamson Acedemy'
Faye fought back the low sob which was about to burst out of her throat. The 7 year old blonde shut her eyes tightly and wrapped her small arms around her slender legs. She slowly opened her chocolate brown eyes; (A gift from her father) and warily studied her surroundings. The old abandoned drama room. She slowly stood up, her joints feeling weak and stiff from being crouched down too long. She smoothed down the silver and blue uniform she was wearing and reflected on how she ended up here anyway.
The first day of a new school. Most kids would be excited right? Not Faye Elizabeth Redwood Viva Reville. Oh no. She felt a strand kind of foreboding about this place. She glared at her reflection in her bedroom mirror and inwardly cursed the retard who came up with school uniforms. The dark blue blazer and skirt combo complete with white shirt, silver and blue tie, silver socks and blue shoes suited her well…but that didn’t mean she had to like the stupid thing. She gave a small yelp of surprise when she saw her mothers’ reflection behind her.
“You look great honey.” Candy Redwood Reville smiled. “You excited?”
Faye shook her head.
Candy sighed deeply.
“Faye… I know we’ve had a hard time finding a good school for you…but please…try to make this one work. Ron paid the tuition fees for us…”
Faye grimaced but nodded.
“Fine.” She muttered and picked up her bag. She kissed her mother on the cheek and ran into the hall. She slid down the banister and jumped off, ruffling her little sisters’ hair before sprinting out towards the bus station.
2 extremely long bus rides later she was there, Adamson academy. She pulled a face and walked inside, telling herself that this would be different from her other schools… but of course, the universe likes to turn around and kick us in the ass right when we need good luck.
Whispers followed the child prodigy everywhere she went. Some were simply curious, but others (mainly by the more popular kids) we rude.
To be honest it wasn’t the whispering that bothered her. She could handle that, having a superstar mother and father who also saved the world a LOT meant she was plagued with whispers wherever she went. No…it was the stuck-up, snooty way they treated and spoke to her.
God-damn rich people.
Faye shot a venomous glare towards a bunch of giggling preppy girls and the apparent leader, the blonde haired and blue eyed slut looked her up and down critically.
“Nice hair.” She said at last, a definite mocking note in her voice.
“Thanks.” Faye retorted coolly. “It’s better than your stringy wig anyway.”
The girls’ eyes hardened.
“You better watch yourself Redwood. This is a school for prestigious wealth and social standing, not to mention beauty.” She smirked. “Which you have none of.”
Faye’s eyes turned a vicious colour of magenta. Although she was no longer a vampire, her eyes managed to change colour when she lost her temper. She felt a grim satisfaction as all the kids watching took a wary step back.
“J…Jess…” one of the lackeys stammered to their leader. “we should…”
“Freak!” Jess shrieked.
A larger boy, clearing going to be a jock when he grew, grabbed her arm hard.
“We don’t like freaks.” He leered.
Faye felt a dull throbbing in her hand and grit her teeth.
“Get your disgusting hands off of me!” she snapped, ramming her knee into his crotch.
The boy shrieked in pain and let go of Faye in favour of trying to protect his manhood. She took this as an opportunity to run, so…she ran.
And that’s how she ended up here. Faye sighed, feeling more alone than ever and sat on a table. She cussed loudly into the empty…or…not so empty…room.
“Tut tut.” A soft female voice chided. “Watch your language.”
Faye jumped up as if scolded and took up a combat stance.
“Whoa. Easy tiger.” The voice laughed and stepped out of the shadows. The speaker was a girl a little older than Faye, with russet hair swept into a side fringe. She had jade coloured eyes and was wearing the school uniform. She smiled, perfectly at ease.
“What do you want?” Faye asked warily.
“A chance to introduce myself of course!” she grinned. “Sadie Wright.”
Sadie sat down calmly and surveyed her fingernails.
“I heard what you did to Peter Jenkins.”
“He deserved it.” Faye replied immediately, on the defensive.
“Yeah, he probably did.” Sadie agreed. “He’s a great big oaf. You should of heard Adam laying into him.” The memory of this seemed to please her.
Faye couldn’t contain her curiosity.
“Adam?” she asked slowly.
“Adam Jeffers of course” Sadie replied. “His dad’s the headmaster.”
“Oh yeah, that’s right.” Faye nodded, this information coming back into her brain. “He’s Jessica Statham’s boyfriend right?”
“Yup…poor guy.” Sadie sighed. “Having a royal bitch for a girlfriend.”
Faye couldn’t contain a small smile at Sadie words.
“So…Why exactly are you being so nice to me?” Faye asked slowly.
Sadie laughed. “Isn’t it obvious? I want to be your friend…if you don’t mind being at the bottom of the popularity food chain.”
“I relish being there.” Faye grinned, feeling at ease at last.
“Ah that’s good!” Sadie smiled. “You have to meet Jeff now. He’s a great guy, but an incredible flirt.”
“I already know two guys exactly like him…I think I can cope.”
“Fair enough! Just don’t say I didn’t warn you!”
Both girls laughed and Faye didn’t protest when Sadie linked her arm through hers.
‘I’ve changed my mind…” Faye thought happily. ‘This won’t be so bad after all.’
