'Very wise.' Leah smirked slightly, immediately shifting into a more playful mood now that an internal conflict had been resolved.

Alexander smirked as well. "What else could one expect?' he asked, his own tone lighter.

Leah shrugged slightly and stood up. 'Well, I could expect wisdom, or I could expect a fool.' Her smirk widened into a grin.

Alexander narrowed his eyes, but the playful tone remained as he spoke. "Leaders are not chosen for foolishness, young one." he said, smiling slightly.

'It's different where I come from. Back in Illinois, a leader was chosen based on how he reacted and assessed a situation. If he could go to fooling around with the pack to alert and ready to fight quick enough, we knew he would be leader material.' Leah made a laughing sound at an inside joke.

'Here a leader is made of intelligence, wisdom, and skill in combat and otherwise.' Alexander stated, frowning slightly.

'And that's where we differ, I guess. Besides the fact that I'm a shapeshifter and all.' Leah cocked her head to the side and blinked.

Janelle climbed back onto the jetty to get the things she had left behind; her kneesocks, converse, belt, blah blah blah. She smiled as she noticed a crab walking along the large rocks. She stupidly stepped towards it. Without thinking, Janelle lifted the creature into her hands, her malfunction being to move it out of the narrow walkway so none could crush it. The crab pinched her index finger and would not release it. She waved her hand around feircly until the crab flew off and landed in the water with a thump. "Crap," She murmerd, staring down at the bloody mess covering her finger and slipping down her hand to her wrist.

Haven winced slightly, her hands coming up to touch her forehead. "Ow..." she muttered, though her eyes relaxed. "You guys," she said in the laungage of the wolf. "Janelle's hurt, and I must help her." She stood up and frowned, walking towards the woods.
Alexander looked up, and the wolfish grin no longer occupied his face. "Why is she leaving?" he asked, not understanding empathy at all.

'A friend of hers is injured, and she's going to make sure her friend is ok.' Leah frowned, worrying for Janelle.

Alexander nodding, "Alright." he said, looking slightly worried.
Haven said something quietly and one of the other wolves stood up, trotting over to her. She easily climbed onto his back and said something, and he took off. "I'll be back guys!" she called, her voice fading into the distance. Haven soon reached the jetty and ran over to Janelle, a peice of cloth in her hand. "Are you ok?" she asked, grabbing Janelle's hand and wrapping the cloth around it. She bit her lip and winced as she put pressure on it, frowning slightly.

'...I hope she's alright...' Leah's voice was filled with worry.

Alexander nodded, though his eyes remained on the woods. 'We should follow her.' was the only thing his mind transmitter.
'She has come and gone many times, yet she always reaturns. She'll be fine.' a sandy blond colored wolf said, not opening his eyes from his nap.

'..I'm sure they're fine, Alexander.' Leah looked curiously at the sandy-colored wolf, her mind turning to Jason.

anelle frowned. "I'm fine," She hisssed and looked up. "oh, hi Haven." she said cheerfully.
